Weakend Hike
Last week my brother kevan invited me to go caving with him and some friends in and about the crowsnest pass area. There is a part of me that was screaming. "YOU HATE CAVES AND SMALL SPACES" and another part replying "So what?". In the end me and my dad went, for the most part I didnt mind it, but I think I have done my Family hiking hours for the next five years or so. It was a slow long up, made worse in part by some of the people hiking who wanting to go back. And Im fairly sure that I managed to throughly annoy some people. After an hour of hearing. "My heartbeat is too high, or there isnt enough oxygen going to my legs." we made it to the platue. We had a quite bite to eat and started our shale climb to the cave entrance.
There arent many things in this world that bother me. And the ones that do are the ones that really freak me out. Small, tight, dark spaces happen to be on that list. But im not he sort of person to give up when others are going on and seeing my sister climb into that cave was cause enough for me to go in after her just to prove a point. The actual cave itself wasnt as bad as I thought it might be. There deffianatly was some tight spots that left me looking like I as in some sort of preverse game of Twister and I have never seen so much rat crap in my life but walking through Ice filled rooms and rooms that ended in hundred foot drop offs made for good times. We got out of the cave an hour and a half later and took a photo. But after crawling through stagnant water and rat feceas made me feal unsanitary and wanting to wash my hands for the next hour
We got out of the cave around 5:30 and hiked the 12 km back, arriving at our car at 6:45. We drove into town and ate at Popiels. Me and dad had to go home early so mom could have the car to go into work. It was a good days hike and the next morning my legs had that burning sensation you get from going uphill.
And that is how I spent my weekend. Please forgive me I know I am a grammatical nightmare so if you see any bad lines please email me
Dan
